Private jet card rates drop, daily minimums returning to pre-pandemic levels

Private jet travel is becoming a bit cheaper. According to new analysis from Private Jet Card Comparisons, an exclusive price comparison resource, hourly rates and daily minimums for chartered air routes continue to drop across North America. Membership pricing is down 8.5 percent from Q4 2022 peaks and, as a result, frequent fliers are having more success negotiating discounts, gathering perks like flight credits and free hours with providers.

Flexjet launches hospitality training program in-house

Private aviation firm Flexjet’s latest project is taking off. The company is introducing the Red Label Academy, a training program that aims to empower its crew in the delivery of five-star flight experiences to clients. Stationed within the U.K.'s Farnborough Airport, the instructional session is executed in partnership with The Dorchester Collection Academy, the namesake luxury hotel brand's customer service consultancy.

Etihad Airways gives audiences exclusive look at airport lounge

United Arab Emirates airline Etihad Airways is celebrating a fresh space at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Terminal A is now open after more than a decade of construction and delays, and within it, the flight company has built a three-floor luxury lounge. The new home to the carrier sets the scene for “Lounging With: Gareth Bale,” a conversational video interview that not only taps into the appeal of the namesake Welsh soccer legend but grants the leisure area and its premium offerings a globally popular celebrity’s stamp of approval.

Mercedes-Benz flies high with Blade partnership

German automaker Mercedes-Benz is teaming up with a helicopter charter company. The brand is the official luxury automotive partner of aviation firm Blade, an air travel player supplying helicopter and seaplane charters in and around New York City. Moving forward, Mercedes-Benz is making three Maybach vehicles available to departing or arriving passengers for ground transfers between Blade Lounges and commercial terminals at JFK Airport.

VistaJet launches 360 wellness program 'at altitude'

Private aviation company VistaJet is introducing a few private aviation "firsts." The travel leader is rolling out a 360-degree initiative that provides wellness solutions before, during and after flights, with biohacking treatments, access to meditation and breathing apps, curated dining and more. The update arrives just weeks after the appointment of industry veteran David Stanley as president of Vista America, launched this month on behalf of United States operators.

British Airways debuts Diwali campaign featuring cabin crew

British Airways is getting into the holiday spirit for a global observance. Aside from running special fares for routes headed to India for the occasion, the company is premiering a Diwali campaign across social media, cinema and television, also airing assets during this year's highly-anticipated Cricket World Cup. United Airlines revamps sky-bound sleeping experience with Saks, Therabody

United Airlines is collaborating with top names in luxury to help select passengers get “the best sleep in the sky.” In the largest overhaul of the airline's international business class since 2016, Polaris passengers can now enjoy upgraded in-flight amenities such as sustainable blankets, skincare, eye masks and pillows from U.S. retailer Saks Fifth Avenue, gaining full access to goodies from tech wellness company Therabody as well. The relaxation boost comes as United rises to meet growing demand for overseas travel via network expansion efforts and upgraded services.

Celebrating 90 years of service, Air France activates at Galeries Lafayette

Airline company Air France is celebrating a milestone next month. In honor of its 90-year anniversary, the travel pioneer is platforming its home country’s famous spirit of “art de vivre,” unveiling a range of creative activations, many of which are to be housed at Paris-based retailer Galeries Lafayette's Haussmann branch. Among the luxury events, Air France is presenting a dress exhibition from Sept. 28 to Oct. 10, working with Xavier Ronze, head of ballet costume design workshops at the Paris Opera, to craft five gowns that represent the airline’s history.

Private aviation company VistaJet is bringing fruits of the ocean to its fleet. Partnering with globally-recognized sustainable seafood restaurant Estiatorio Milos, luxury jet setters can now feast on a signature menu in the clouds.
